Becoming a good ancestor

I was brought onto this project to handle the typesetting, layout design, and artworking for the production files of both the hardcover and softcover editions of a book on generational trauma, authored by Alexandra Asseily, co-founder of the Centre for Lebanese Studies.
The book features a collection of short extracts, poems, and stories designed to be read slowly and reflected upon. To support this, I crafted a composition that accommodates brief paragraphs, with deliberate pauses to signal transitions, highlight key sections, or mark the beginning of a new memory.
The result is a book with a unique rhythm, almost like a conversation between the author and the reader. It gently pulls you in and out of different memories and interwoven narratives, all connected by an overarching narrative that gives the work its depth and continuity.
